Un parpaing pour demain (A breezeblock for tomorrow) appeals to the collective imagination of those who once left their country of origin with the promise of returning home, in search of belonging. Traveling between Belgium, Togo, and Benin, the film unveils the invisible emotional and political layers behind the empty plots of land inherited by the filmmaker from her father and the remotely built houses awaiting their inhabitants. This pœtic investigation explores the visions of return.
