The work is inspired by the traditional Mambetu motifs of the Justice Hall of Niangara, DRC, which had been commissioned to local painters by the Belgian colonial administration back in 1903. The painting of the columns and triangular pediment of the Horta Hall is performed in collaboration with the Überknackig Bureau and four art students of the Brussels Académie des Beaux Arts and La Cambre Institute, under the supervision of curator Estelle Lecaille (mòsso).
